The 14's started off the day splitting a match. Together as a team they had to battle as hard as they could to make sure they stayed on top in order to get out of pool.

The push worked, by not allowing any other teams to score close to 15 points on us, earning our team a bye into the quarters-finals with the biggest point differential. After a long break due to ties in other pools, the girls knew they had to break our consistent third place finish. Although Fusion had relentless defense, our offense proved to be too smart with great placement on hits and tips. Once we got to the finals, the girls only had gold in their eyes. Sparks was not a match for our excellent spot serving and our defenses ability to never let the ball drop. The girls defeated Sparks 2-1 (25-11; 25-18). Stellar defense was provided by Amber Goldberg, Maddie Dutterer, and Natalie Claffey who worked together, hit the floor hard, and gave it everything to prove that hard hits are nothing for our team. Julia Miles and Megan Carroll quarterbacked the offense while smart hits and pressure was provided by Jordan Schuller, Carly Venit, Jackie Kelly, Erin Moyer and Steph Fasciano. Julia Miles finished off the last points in usual fashion by picking apart the serve receive.
