So far this year it has been a pleasant task to write about what has happened at our tournaments because our results have been good. Now having experienced our first tournament where we did not meet our expectations it is a little tougher to write something but as it has been said you have to take the bad with the good. This is what could be considered a cliche. A cliché is a saying or an expression which has been overused to the point of losing its original meaning or effect. There are many cliches that are used to describe what happens in the sports world and although they might be over used they certainly still should be taken to heart. Hopefully we can look at some of the following and learn from them.

1) we win as a team and we also lose as a team
2) you play the game on the court not on paper
3) they wanted it more than we did
4) they are self-destructing
5) that left a bad taste in our mouths

Some of this stuff sounds negative but I'm hoping our team turns these negatives into a positive learning experience. We all have worked to hard to let one bad day bring us down but it also shows us that we need to continue to work hard as individuals but more importantly as a team. I can't wait to get back to practice and start preparing for our next tournament.
