Keystone Jrs. 13 & Under Tourney 2/21

On a cold snowy day outside, Keystone Juniors 13's were red hot inside Competitive Edge Sports arena. They started off their day going 4-0 in pool play defeating Vortex and Lanchester Blast. It was a total team effort and the team played their hardest on every point which led them to taking second place in pool play. Impressive serving of Cara Frederick helped lead the way to the semi-finals. Gia DeAntonio and Holly Ferry did a great job at the net and setters Maureen Hansom and Amanda Trigg led the court and kept the offense running. We also had strong defensive play from  Emily Gowman, Abby Lance, Bella O'Toole and Kate Hurley.

Due to the weather issues a shortened semi-final was slated against J-Stroke Jingle. Keystone came out and dominated winning the first set 15-4.  After a tough fight they fell short in the second set losing 10-15 causing a third deciding set to only 8 points. After falling to a 6-0 deficit Keystone battled back but ran out of time and fell just short losing 6-8.

Congrats to the girls on a great day and for continuing to improve playing together as a team, with a never give up attitude!
