Saturday, Keystone Juniors 12s had a remarkable day! After losing in a tie breaker by two points to advance out of pool play in our first tournament, the girls were ready to prove themselves; and prove themselves they did.  In pool play, the team had up and downs; and kept their coaches and fans on edge with learning mistakes and thrilling plays.  In a heartbreaking loss in the third game, the team placed second in their pool. However, we made it out of pool play! We then had a well-deserved rest and waited to see who our opponent would be in the semi-finals. It was Revolution South from Chambersburg, PA.  The team lost the first game then won the second game decisively. The third and deciding game was a nail bitter. The girls rallied and won 18 to 16…a thrilling victory!! The girls were so excited and so were their coaches to advance to the championship in only our second tournament.  In the final game, the team would meet our challenger in pool play, EC Power Powder.  The team lost the first and shook off the jitters.  We were winning by at least 10 in the second game and had them on the run.  We then experienced growing pains and unfortunately made some mental and skill mistakes and loss the second game. At the end of the day, Briana and I could not be more proud of the girls.  I’m sure their fans feel the same way. They played hard, gelled as a team, learned what it takes to win, demonstrated their growing talent, and most importantly had fun.
