This past Saturday (2/2/2019), our Keystone Juniors 13U visited Spooky Nook and dominated throughout the day going a perfect 11-0!  They were led by setter Annie Corcoran and Middle Hitter Caroline Kirsch!  Annie had a total of 50 Aces (36 assists) on the day and set the pace for us all day.  Caroline (the BEAST) led all hitters with 23 Kills and a remarkable 7 Blocks on the day.  Yes, that is correct, these girls are 13!  That is a very admirable number of blocks for a 13U team.

Other statistics on the day for our 13 Black team:  Molly Mishinkash had 11 Kills, Ciara Julien and Julia Richter had 8 Kills.  Vanessa Mancini had 7 Kills.  Leighton Egan had 19 assists.  Julia Riley had 37 digs while Aislin Oneill and Payton Holdsworth had 17 digs each.

We played Spooky Nook in the Finals.  They were the #1 seed in the other pool.  They had lost only 1 set on the day.  Keystone was a perfect 9-0 heading into the Finals.  So often, you see a team tense up or grow tired late in the afternoon after such a successful day.  But Annie Corcoran and Caroline Kirsch weren't going to let that happen!  The two of them got even stronger in the Finals and made sure we earned GOLD!  Annie had 11 Aces, 3 Kills and 7 Assists.  Caroline had 5 Kills and 2 of her Blocks.  It was Keystone Juniors 13U first medal of the season after finishing in 3rd place MLK Weekend!

Congratulations 13s!
